Our Hunting Policies

Reservations and Deposits:

  • Bookings are accepted via phone or email. Reservations are held for seven days pending deposit receipt.
    A confirmation will be sent upon deposit receipt.
  • Deposits of $1,000.00 per hunter are required and are non-refundable. They can be used within the same hunting season if cancellation occurs 72 hours before arrival.
  • Deposits are individual and cannot be transferred or used for another hunter’s dues.
  • Accepted deposit methods: Credit Card, check, or money order. Full payment is due before departure and can be made with the same methods plus cash.

Arrival and Departure:

  • Check-in is from 11:00 a.m. on the day of arrival.

Hunting Equipment:

  • Hunters are responsible for their gear and license.
  • We highly recommend sighting your weapon at our firing range upon arrival.

Bow Hunting:

  • Merryville Outfitters offers a limited amount of bow hunting at an additional cost of $500.00 per hunter.

Blood, Bone, and Hair Draw Policy:

  • If any part of the target animal is hit, it is considered sold, with full fees applied, retrieval notwithstanding.
  • Search efforts for wounded animals include the shooter, guides, and possibly a search dog.
  • A diligent effort will be made to track any hit deer, but success is not guaranteed.
  • Merryville Outfitters reserves the right to hire a search dog, if needed, which incurs a $400 fee at the clients expense.

Transparent Pricing:

  • No trophy or hidden fees. The cost covers food, drinks, lodging, transport, and guide services for your 2 ½-day hunt.

Hunter Responsibilities:

  • All guests must sign a Liability Release Waiver.
  • A valid Hunter Education Card is required as per LDWF regulations.
  • Respect for others, property, and regulations is mandatory.
  • Damaging property, livestock, or crops is strictly prohibited.
  • Compliance with LDWF Hunting Regulations is expected.

Pre-Hunt Checklist:

  • Carry a quality LED flashlight.
    Check-in strictly at 11:00 a.m. on arrival day.
  • Ensure all licenses and permits are acquired beforehand.
  • Knee-high rubber boots are recommended for all hunters.
  • For weather updates, consult online sources such as weather.com or accuweather.com.
